Since then, listeners from Maine to Florida, California to Alaska, Australia, South America, Africa, the Far East and the UK have signed on to give us a listen. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BOOK'EM!

One year ago today, on February 3, 2009, the quartet of Bob Wagner and D Davis on vocals and guitars, John Rogone on bass and drummer Matt Burr premiered on the Nectar's stage as the WBKM house band...The Book'em Blues Band! It was a great night and the first of many...well the first of about 50 actually, and today everywhere I go people ask the same question...where's Book'em? Whatever each of the band members are doing today, we wish them all the best and thank them for all that great music...done with power and passion! The future: who knows, but one thing is for sure...the music lives on! Long live Book'em Blues!

BOOK'EM FILLS THE ROOM WITH ONE MORE SHOW!

The Nectar's dance floor, indeed the whole of the club, was dancing, screaming and smiling as The Book'em Blues Band did it one more time to a full house on Friday January 8th, 2010. Folks lined up and paid a cover to see the band that has been giving us joy since February 3, 2009. Brent Hallenbeck gave us some great press coverage in The Burlington Free Press and the boys closed the club, finishing up after 2AM to thunders of applause. Bob Wagner is now off on a cross country jaunt to the Coast and back....and we hope he brings back a revived passion for the blues with him cause Tuesday just ain't Bluesday without Book'em!

Welcome to the Next Decade! Happy New Year!

We had a great 2009...we added new shows like Paradigms with our old friend Baruch, The Ski Show with Mike Rogge, Talkin' Sports with JJ and Mitch and Stone Soup with Ellen, and brought in two great Jazz loving DJ's--Will and Billy--to liven up our Sunday Jazz Show. We have lots of good things coming up in the New Year.....some you won't believe! So keep listening and reading! New pages coming too!

BOOK'EM BLUES BAND IN THE BIG ROOM--NEW YEAR'S EVE 2009!

Caping off a year long Bluesday/Tuesday residence at Nectars, WBKM proudly shouted and danced along with a packed room as The Book'em Blues Band took the stage at Higher Ground on New Year's eve! Book'em opened up the night for Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. Pictures captured that night by Nanci! Audio is posted on the Internet Archive here. WBKM and UVM TV at NECTARS!

On both December 8th and December 15th, a crew of students from The University of Vermont's televisiion studio --UVM TV-- came downtown to Nectars on Bluesday/Tuesday and broadcast the show LIVE to the students at The Davis Center and to the world! This begins what we hope will be a furthering of the connection between WBKM and the academic community at UVM. Thanks to students Max, Jeremy, Jesse, Patrick, Anja, Zach and faculty member Chris Evans. You can watch the first show here.

NOVEMBER 12, 2009 WBKM TURNS TWO!

We brought in some great music and invited all our friends to celebrate our second birthday. And in the year of Neil, of course we lifted a glass in his honor as it was Neil's birthdya too! Guests The Book'em Blues Band, The Kind Buds and Will Dailey gave us the music on a great night of celebration. Thanks again to Nectar's, Awgie on sound and all of you!
